My springer puppy just seems to have so much energy!! Hes now started being walked and goes around the village twice a day on lead (3mins) with lots of sits. He then comes down the yard with me and we walk for 10mins around the field, this also includes recall with the whistle and sitting. During the day he will also play with my other 2. He's fed chudleys and didnt know if this isnt helping? I dont mind if its just him but wanted to see whether it could be the food?

oh and the obligatory puppy pic

He sure is, hes 12 weeks if I remember right or 13. I'm well used to nutty springers as other one pictured is rather energetic but cant remember him being quite so bad so thought id ask. I can cope if its not the feed and just him

My Springer x Cocker is 16wks atm does a 20 min lead walk in the morning then several runs in the garden a day & fetch on the patio. Does all her commands from Puppy school in the night for 15mins & the brain work kills her off lol

Yeah that's what I've been working on now so at 16 weeks she's doing 20 mins but because its lead walking she let's her steam off in the garden on the lawn as she wishes & with a few 2 min ball games. I do find doing recall, sit, down, wait, paw, settle, roll over really tires her out though. She's just finished her 6 week puppy school block which helped a lot. She's fed on Wainwrights from pets at home if that makes a difference :-)

Dunno about Chudleys, but not the best IMO. More training and making him use his brain might tire him out. New experiences used to tire my two out.

I was gonna say maybe its coz hes just a springer spangle. I have a x breed who is basically a springer in his head.

My puppy (13months, rottie x ) is a total nut though, I ended up doing lots of trick training and tracking to calm him down and get focus, he loves a job. Its great I even managed to get him to tidy up the garden of dog toys and bring the dog bowls in. lol have started agility and I fear I might be spending loads of money as actually hes very good, we are set a new task every class and at the end of the class he has always mastered it.
