Food to encourage bowell movements?

My pooch has been home since Saturday after her spinal surgery and has not had a bowel movement. I'm weaning her off the chicken but she's not massively fussed about her dry food. Vet has said she needs to be eating her food to have a bowel movement, if nothing in the next couple of days they can give an enema (sp?) is there anything she could eat to get things moving? She has strange eating habits where she grabs a mouthful of food, takes it into the lounge away from her bowl, drops it onto the carpet then eats it, she ovb can't do that in her cage and just drops it by her feet.

Keep feeding the chicken but dipping it in egg and then rice bran and quick frying it (posh chicken nuggets) will help the digestion.

Try giving small amount of fruit such as pineapple or a vitamin c tablet.
