Foot abcess..

How long do you think I should leave it before replacing the shoe after a foot abcess? My girl was poulticed for a week. It is now 4 days without. She is sound but there is still a little heat in her foot. The abcess was caused through nail bind.
I don't want to have her shoe put back on too soon.

As long as she is completely sound you probably can get her shod in a couple of days. Make sure your farrier fills the hole or it could get reinfected. But it should be fine.
