Vet reckons Nic is 'footy' there are slight changes on x-ray that can only be seen from one angle (I am sure most 12 year olds would show changes)

She was declared 5/10 lame when lunged on concrete, is apparently now worse, vet reckons is nothing to worry about, he is sure she is just 'footy' and is worse because of the box rest (for hind suspensory)have to say I have not heard that one before, and am unconvinced....

Help?!

How lame is your horse with her hind Suspensory problems? If she is very lame in the hind it could be laminitis due to having to take more weight off the sore limb.

Is she shod? -

I wouldn't worry about the "changes" to much on the x-rays- your vet would hopefully be able to interpret as to whether they are linked to the lameness that she has been suffering from or whether it is are something else- sometimes "changes" on the x-rays will be accompanied with lameness and sometimes not-

She could also (as Mrsbloggett suggests above) be overcompensating for her hind leg probs and taking more weight onto her other 3 legs!. I would ask the vet to explain the diagnosis as clear as possible to you and maybe get your vet and farrier to work together to make her more comfortable. Good luck though.
