Mad just doesn't cut it with her I tell you! My OH actually sings her the dizzy rascal song, bonkers! Still she will not heed my warnings and will soon be a goldfish from the hours on end she spends in that bloomin pool so then she will be living in there permanently! Peace at last

Temsik she is gorgeous!!! She looks more like Nala than Ruby- although I have to admit I am struggling to tell them apart at speed

Hehe, yes, she looks nothing like acorn either, she is of drastically different breeding to zoes dogs (about as far away as you can get in vizsla world!) what lines is nala?

**scuttles off to get 5 generation pedigree, pleased that I finally have a 'need' for it **
Dad is Rezista Double Flash (Russettmantle and Hookside lines) and her Mum was Dixie Downtown Girl (Castlefield, Pitswarren and Glendun lines) I doubt you've heard of her folks because they are working dogs from deepest darkest Wales, but her pedigree is littered (excuse the pun!) with show champs and a few field trial champs- neither of which we knew about when we bought her!

Flora is from working stock in deepest darkest wales too! She also has some of russettmantle and grannie on mums side is one of the dixie girls but she also has alot of imported french, hungarian and american champion lines. Ruby and Nala are'nt that distantly related then, Ruby has alot of Pitswarren, castlefield and russetmantle.

So does Nala (its a 5 gen pedigree I have!) I just couldn't be doing with adding all the z and y names so I added the ones I recognised
As far as possible I think Nala is probably a liquorice allsorts of vizzy breeding- the breeding intention seems to have changed from breeding show champs to field champs to pets and workers! We love her though, and her varied heritage means she is pretty and likes pointing at birdies and bunnies so we're happy with her

Haha yes some of them get a bit complicated typing from the hungarian studs! We will have to sit and compare 5 gen pedigrees one day! They will undoubtedly be related somewhere along the line!! I have Rubys 5 gen if you want a copy of it, dunno if u got one with her (well its Acorns but the same obviously!)

Yes we did see a copy of her pedigree, and it seems very impressive! ...if a little bit redundant as Ruby has been spayed

Well yea! But I like knowing where they came from! They are mostly show lines and it is a pretty impressive pedigree. Flora's is not as classically impressive but like Nala has a good mix of show and working lines and should make us a nice little dual purpose doglet (sorry tri purpose cos she is a good cuddly pet dog too!) Anyway I'll reserve judgement on whether she is even dual purpose until after ringcraft tommorrow! *gulp*

Pmsl, thats ginger ninjas for you! All the ones I know are the same! I reckon its that Abbeystag Emilio's fault, does Nala have him in her line? If not shes the first vizz I know without. I therefore blame him for all dumb ginger traits! There is a seasoned show vizsla in the class, hes really gonna show us up!

Three times over 5generations (inbreeding much?!!) Also Abbeystag Ovis, Josie, Wolfox Flavia, and Szappanos Sveivacs of Abbeystag (twice). If Abbeystag carries the loopy gene it would explan A LOT!!

...Ruby has the gene too, hes also in her pedigree. God knows how many litters that dog sired, I honestly have never ever seen a vizz without him in the line! I entirely although undoubtedly falsely (before I'm sued) blame him for all of those completely dumb traits that vizslas have! If they r doing something stupid or very dizzy I am often heard saying 'she's having an emilio moment'!
