i had physio out tonight and i didnt think there was much wrong anyways and guess what... there wasnt he was there all of 20mins and was completly happy with him except needs more top line which is what im working on.

so i asked all questions like why does he buck ect and he said its just his way of saying he doesnt want to do it so i have to push through it and tell him he has to do it....he said hes type of horse hat doesnt want to do anymore than he thinks hes has to and physio is completly happy with him.

i have never had this physio either so hes compltly non biasast amd he checked everythim from poll back to feet etc and found nothing upsetting him.

thanks for all concerns about him i do appreciate it but at least now i know i do know my horse pretty well....hes just a stubborn monkey.

Missed your other post, but good to hear that the physio didn't find anything wrong with your horse. By the sound of it, you will just have to be more stubborn than him, ;) or find better bribes...

a physio wont tell you to work your horse through it, a physio, can not tell you if your horse has issues in its feet,

ive never known a horse physio to spend 20 mins on a horse. its nothing, tell me, what did they see your horse do? work up? what movements did they ask your horse to carry out?::confused:

I agree with jhoward - every physio/chiro/osteo I have had out for mine have all seen them walked up and then trotted up, and even if the horse has no issues (touch wood mine never has) have all found some low level stiffness/areas to relieve and work on.

Horses are like humans, they will all carry some low-grade stiffness which can be relieved by a proper physio. It does sound like yours gave your horse a cursory glance and didn't do anything to help, I would personally be looking for a second opinion, maybe someone on HHO can recommend a physic/osteo/chiro...

yes he found low lever tightness in his neck he woroed there for 10mims and he checkeck everywhere including where i thought he was sore wich was his back end and he checke egs and feet roaetednfetlocks legs flexed them ect i also walked amd troted him up for him...... he did everything and hes a hughoy reccommemded physio/osteo so i trsut hia judgement.

he also advised to worl through stubborness as a fellow riderand friend not as a physio.

he also showed me where to use my massager and he said its always good to use them.

Sounds like perhaps 20 mins quote was a bit under but the chap did a good job. Well done you for ticking that box! Have you tried setting up a passoaing regime? My mare was terribly unbalanced, stiff and down right muleish but have found that between schooling and passoaing she is now much more supple, muscled up and more willing! Of course the snow hasn't helped any of us - we just get them going nicely and it all has to be put on hold for the bloody white stuff! Fingers crossed we are now heading into Spring! Set yourself a goal ie a show that you really like and aim for that. You will get there - perhaps a good instructor would help? I have a goal of Equifest this August and have had to get a good instructor giving lessons and schooling every week!!

hi thanks fr reply mcnaughty. he reccommemd either lunging ine my pessoa 3 times a week or use it for 10mins before riding each time so because i love riding think im going to use it befre .

i have an instructor that we go to every 2-3 weeks as our school isnt the bestm which isnt helping us at all. hes not as unbalanced as he use to be but he use to hve alot more topline befre the winter because i was doing alot more schooling but then i started hacking more so hes buikt up diff muscle again. cant win haha.

im planning on doing warrington show end of may and aintree in july eekk. hes going fab in my lessons no bucking forward going off my leg amd light in contact. i just have to replicate it at home whicj is hard with a not so good school...so when ground dries upntheres a frield round corner i was going to school on. thanks for the advce x
