Here's the latest video of my beast, wearing his new saddle, which I think he likes :D

http://youtu.be/epSzgMA6oEA

Only took 6 months for the saddler to find one :O

In the meantime I messed my back up riding in the last one - excuse the pony being slightly porkier than usual as I've had to take things easy :)

Comments welcome - good and bad!

That was beautiful to watch! Well done you, so much hard work must have gone into that :)

What an inspiration for all us cob owners!

Really enjoyed watching your video, very impressed! Just teaching mine changes but we have a way to go to be as good as yours!! You ride very nicely too, make sitting trot look so easy and painless!! :)

Thank you very much!

I'm amazed how easy he finds them - he tends to do them when I don't want them either! Asked for one the other day and got a bunch of tempi changes...little show off

Lovely video, I love your cob. Please come and school my cob for me :)

Haha, I would love to! Sadly Devon is quite a trek! :D

Fantastic video, so nice to see such quiet riding and such a lovely little cob working correctly without tightness!! Lovely!

What a fabulous video, lots of rosettes on the way for you and your lovely cob.

You should link this thread to the one called 'Responsible Breeding' as an example that not all horses need to be by flashy warmbloods to be able to give us pleasure riders a whole lot of fun.

Good luck, you are going to have a super summer.

Your video was a pleasure to watch you seem a perfectly matched partnership.
What a great little horse. I may have to come and steal him.
His tail is fab
You're a lovely quiet rider too.
I'm green with envy :D

So nice to see a quiet rider that's not forever leaning backwards, exaggerating aids or messing with their hands too. Thank you for showing that and I love your cob too, he's scrumptious.

Gosh, thank you all so much for your lovely comments!

I think I've found my horse of a lifetime at 17! :D The cherry on top is he's actually a lead-rein RDA pony in his spare time  Such a gent!

You deserve the lovely comments, some of them have come from very experienced and respected horsemen. Any comment from Measfen will be well earned.

A gentleman he is, but you helped him get there remember.

Happy days with him.

Wow! Think I should keep this video to show everyone who gives that patronising smile when I say I want to do dressage with my cob... You both look lovely - that must have taken a lot of work.

Isn't he just grand. I bet he didn't take as much work to get to that stage than a flashy warmblood would take.

I bet he never says 'no or make me'. I bet he does not need an army of grooms, a therapist, backman, specialist farrier, special diet, or a entire tack shop of equipment to keep him warm, cool, winched in, winched out, on the bit or covered in bling.

Bag of pony nuts and a bottle of shampoo for the white bits, plus a large bedroom wall for his rosettes.

Wonder where he is hidden ! I have a few spare stables !! Envy is a terrible thing, I have gone green.
