Four Season (large bales not the Four Seasons cheaper small ones) £5.45 per bale. Use approx 2 bales a week. Keep bed about 6" deep (on top of rubber matting). Colour light beige as do get some discolouration. Occasionally get the odd bale of Hunter as bales damages for £3.50 (normally £5.95), these shavings are a bit lighter than my Four Seasons.

Cant think of brand name, but big bales. Blend of clean and dry dull stuff. Approx I bale a week, maybe two at worst. Always rotate, by banking new and gradually bring down as bed goes down, til new bank is needed. Main floor bed older stuff. On rubber mat bed about 3 in deep.
When a completely new bed is made (of 3 bales) will mix abit of wet on the first few days to curb the dust. About £5 pb. Get 20 a time on free delivery.

dont have a clue what brand, not the best but theyre good

£3.50 per bale use one roughly every week

hes deep littered (well its not that deep really)
mix of colours, but i cheat and put sparkly stuff over the top from the bankings

thought id cracked it with semi deep litter shavings on matts till mum mucked out this morning for me, had to clear the whole lot out tonite was such a mess, so its back to the drawing board...any suggestions for the worlds muckiest and wettest horse?!

hunter woodchip- £5.65 per bale 1 1/2- 2 per horse per week. Find that by putting 1/2 a bale in every few days (as apposed to one bale every 5) is the best way to keep bed clean. They have a full muck out daily inc turning over bed and banks, with a pitch fork. They don't have huge deep beds as a find it easier to manage and maintain a smaller bed- they have enough to ensure no capped hocks etc tho

0.5 - 1 bale of new bed (local alternative to easy bed), £4.80 a bale. Deep litter so not brilliant white but def not brown either!

mad hector, for horses that can realy pee a combination of rubber mats and easibed ive found works realy well. my arab used to go through 3 bags of shavings a week on deep litter and it still used to stink of pee and run out through the channels, oh and he was only stabled at night. now we go through a bag of easi bed every other week.

Mine has rubber matting and a combination of Bedmax and Hunters - I usually rotate: 1 week 2 bales of Bedmax, next week 1-2 bales of Hunters..... i'm afraid i'm guilty of trying to create pillows for my horse and I have huge banks and loads on the floor (it all tumbles out the door too)... but my boy loves it and snuggles in everynight. I do a full muck-out everyday leaving the floor to dry (takes 10 mins) and it stays clean and dry that way

(I use Bedmax and Hunters as my boy has a dust allergy and Hunters on their own are too dusty - Bedmax doesn't compact like Hunters and ends up spread all around the stable (anywhere but on the floor where I want it))
