William looks so much better as well, bless him

No Fluffy I'm not a dealer, just someone who enjoys breeding horses..
All of them were bred here and some will be retained to compete, others will go to new homes.
The rest of the herd are retired horses belonging to people from all over the world, ie the arab is owned by a lady who now lives in India, the spotty by someone in the Home Counties, the roan by an Australian lady.
They tend to live out together through the winter with access to big barn shelters, and as a result the babies learn their place in a herd, making them easy to train in later life.
William is doing ok at the moment.

Love looking at the blog...wish we lived closer as would come and take a peek at some. Like Callisto and Oberon, do all the ones you breed tend to make around 15.2hh or do you expect some to grow bigger ?.

Misty rain where did that come from its dry here.
Loads of nice piccies by the way hope you manage to find homes for some of them.

Thanks for the lovely pics again HH what are the plans for Jonty, Atlanta and Layla now...I was wondering how they were getting on ....patter of tiny hooves?

Some grow bigger, we have bred the same combination three times and one filly is obviously going to make 16. 1hh, another is 15.3hh and the colt this year will probably be 15.3/16hh.
Chocx is deceptive, he looks small but once you sit on him you realise he's bigger.
Most are over 15. 3hh, but two of the breeding mares are full sisters, one is 15.2.5hh and the other bigger and chunkier, the smaller one has exquisite pretty faced foals, the bigger slightly plainer but substantially boned bigger ones. Yet both share the same genes ! Their dam was over 16hh.
The foals out of Harmony will all be well over 16 hh, her brother was 17hh and she is by a 16. 1hh herself.
Diamond is only 15.3 hh yet she happily carries my 6 foot tall husband with ease.
he has already bagged his next horse (jezz) out of the bigger sister of the two mares, so identical breeding just bigger!

Well Jonty is Atlanta and not sure what she will be doing. She was covered once so could be in foal, we will get her scanned and if not she does appear sound so may compete BE again.
Layla's knees are almost covered in hair, she has one white scar from the boot not the damn injury and as soon as the hair grows right over she will go back into work and be sold. She is a fabulous horse but is growing all the time, and too big for CCj's taste.
I hope she will go to a dressage home, she loves learning and is a very "safe" sort of horse.
Diamond is hacking at the moment and still has a crack albeit tiny. She may get her shoes off and be turned out for six months in the hope her soles harden up.
Currently CCCJ is starting off Rene who is proving to be a horse with attitude.. (don't ask, he is settling down slowly!) he will then go away to be backed to somewhere with a round pen so they can keep him going forward if he is the same as his brother.
Tally is being ridden daily and is a superstar. For a three year old she is quite astonishing, you can get straight on, go for a hack, take her in the school for twenty mins, whatever you like. Yesterday C asked her to open the arena gate which was closed , she just did it, no argueing, backed up, turned sideways etc, stood still whilst C looped the chain over the gatepost. Secretly we both hope no-one buys her and we can compete her next year, I've never met such a nice willing horse before.
Flynn the chesnut is lame, either pus in the foot or sprained tendon, the farrier can't find anything other than a sore part on one heel, so he is on box rest/bute and a course of antibiotics incase the pus is deep within the hoof.
Chocx and Jacques are off to a riding club ODE on Sat, that should be fun with two horses and close times, as C gets off J after the Xc I hand her Chocx tacked up and ready for dressage in ten mins time..
We are trying a different technique with him after the trainer rode him tonight. time will tell if he will respond, as he goes dozy as soon as he enters an arena.
Not sure of RC rules whether you can carry a whip or not, he would go better with one I think.
So between selling horses, packing for the cruise, life here is mad busy.
lots of horses, lots of problems but better be busy than bored I suppose!
Oh and William? he has almost lost all his coat and I will try and get some pics tomorrow, he looks wonderful.. I think people will be surprised.
Night all, I need my sleep!

Lovely photos HH, could Galaxy be nervous? Pidge's bottom lip goes up and down when he is not sure of something.
