Well aren't they just gorgeous!! The second one is like a scruffy Fodhla. I love them so much ?

Funny you should post this now, as last week I said one was my limit but we chatted last night and now I realise now she will be getting a sister at some stage ? not until she's a bit better trained as I could not walk two of her right now without breaking my neck!

We're also not sure if we'll get another rescue or go for a pup.. Mr AP wants a cocker or a lab. But we wanted a lab the last time and look what we ended up with so anything could happen!

I know there are plenty of single, happy family dogs, but they’re pack animals and sometimes the ‘people pack’ doesn’t cut it (imo). I think Goose would be lost as an only dog, he’s addicted to Bear, although currently Mitch is cwtched with the big dog. I’m glad you’re thinking of another.

She definitely enjoys being around other dogs but she's choosy as to who she will play with! So far I've seen her really enjoy labs and a young cocker, her very very best mate is a doberman and we are definitely not having one of those! Nothing against them they're just slightly too big for me. It's actually very cute, as I've mentioned she goes to daycare once a week and they only take a couple of dogs so on her days it's the owners two labs, a doberman and her. Her and the doberman are the very best of friends from the minute they met. Got chatting to their owner and it turns out that he and Fodhla were in the rescue together!

She won't play with anything small really it's like they don't register as dogs to her!

She'll be meeting up with my uncle's Irish Water Spaniel at Christmas and I can't wait to see how they get on as I've always wanted one but it might be a hard sell to Mr AP. She is named after an IWS I loved so I hope she loves them too ?

I'd imagine there will be another one at some stage but she'll be picky about who it is. If I get an IWS I will do it and beg the forum for forgiveness later as more than one person has commented 'don't do it' when I've mentioned them previously.

I have no idea about IWS. I thought my lot would love my cousin’s goldendoodle but he was far too excitable and kept knocking them over. He is much bigger than them, which totally intimidated them. It’s funny, given how lively mine are, although I was deeply unimpressed with his behaviour.

The Doberman having been in the same rescue is so cute, they must have been delighted to meet up outside!
