Hello, just have a quick question.

Im oging out hunting tomorrow for basically the 1st time ever, its technically cubbing!
and i was just wondering what would be the best thing to have for breakfast.

I have to be up at about 5, to feed etc before i go, but i dont want anything that when we start at 8am might make me sick, as i am full of nerves!!

Would also like any other tips :)

thanks

Toast or a cereal bar.
I don't tend to eat much before autumn hunting, I can't eat before 8am anyway. So I tend to have a nutrigrain bar and a cup of coffee before I go.
You can always put some nibbles in your pocket in case you get peckish while out.

Have a slice of toast before you go, and just take a few nibbles in your jacket pocket. I never realise how hungry I am until I get home, then we head straight for Mcdonalds!! Have fun!!

I had a slice of toast (maybe 2...) at about half 5 in the morning... then got really peckish at half 8 so ate a giant oat and raisin cookie- big mistake, as about 10 mins after eating it the nerves got to me and I was white as a sheet and felt sooo sick!!

If you get nervous... eat something when you get up but don't eat anything just before you set off! Lesson learnt, won't be doing that again!

we make sandwiches the night before, and a big flask of coffee in the morning to take with us.

We usually have nothing other than a banana and a cereal bar before we leave, take a bar of chocolate or something in our jackets to have whilst we're out.

Then, once we are back to the boxes we have a feast of sarnies and coffee once the horses are in the boxes.

i get really irritable when im hungry too, and i am normally too excited before to eat much, just a piece of toast and a cuppa. but when i am hunting i tend not to notice my stomach until i get home!! i think its the adreniline.
