The King George V competition for Premium Cleveland Bay stallions takes place on sunday 6th May. There is in addition a show for pure and part-bred Cleveland Bays.

This years event is being hosted by the University of Lincoln and commences at 11.15am.

Last year only 33 pure bred Cleveland Bays were registered in the stud book and the breed is on the RBST critical list. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II keeps Cleveland Bays at the Royal Mews in London where they are used for ceremonial duties, you may see them being ridden and driven in central London.

Regulars to this forum will know I love the Cleveland Bay. They are sensible and talented ideally suited to the needs of today's recreational or riding club rider.

Go and see for your self.
