So I have a rescue I have had since 9 weeks. Her and her sisters were dumped at six weeks old.
Rescue has put her has labxcollie. We are not totally sure but ate having fun guessing the breed/s :D
She definitely has collie in her as a few things she does are 100% collie.
One friend think she is either full or part Australian Kelpie the other thinks she is Hunterway.
So here are some pictures, hopefully they will post as I am am on my phone :)

Love those pictures. She looks such a character.

By the colouring it looks like there could possibly be a bit of Doberman in there somewhere.

A few say rottie because of her colouring but she is too fine. I would.say her body shape is more collie like but with a good solid shoulder and hind end.

She loves working on her training homework and thrives of being in the thick.of things. She is also very vocal, has a deep bark and then this weird purring sound.

Will add her two sisters were completely black with the.little bit of white on their chests.

german shepherd x collie
the GS will give the colour and the face/body shape, the collie will give the longer legs and the white marking on the chest

Agree with this. It was my first thought - especially in the picture where she is sitting in the wood with her collie friend.

It is also a cross from two very common breeds so much more likely!

So this one, if you chop off her ears :eek3: I think that is a very lab face.

And again if you just look at the top half of her head.

Obviously could be kelpie rather than collie? I'm not sure you'd spot any difference in behaviours between the two.

I think that would be closer in my head, when I've googled kelpies its the ears that do it :)

Rollieherd? :p

I've a Rott x GSD and would imagine the result of mating him with a collie would be a dog like yours.

Does look a bit huntaway too.

how old is she ? we have a bitch that is black with a white flash on her chest . there were 2 like that and the rest were black and tan. We got her from the dogs trust .

neither breed would give any white

Some black labs do have a few white hairs on the chest, or paws. They shouldn't but they do. She looks like a labxDobie to me. We had 2xLabxGSDs whose ears were just like hers and a purebred lab (not related) with very similar ears. And of course there could be a bit of anything in there, really.

I am not convinced theres 1/2 collie in there. She looks very similar to my friends dog that was GSD x rottie. Although I wonder if she is mainly GSD x rottie with some collie in there too.

Have alook at this dog..it's her twin..http://animalia-life.com/beauceron.html

That does indeed look a really close match Bellasophia, I googled images for the breed and it does look very similar, although I'd be surprised if it were a pedigree as I'm not sure there are that many in the UK :) Unfortunately a lot of photos appear to be USA bred dogs, especially as they have had their ears cropped! ( I can't understand why they insist on mutilating them like this :()

pure black labs don't, some unregistered working labs do and it is usually from spaniel blood in the lines

She is a year old. Her two sisters are black a white bit on her chest. Got her from a local rescue who got them from a pound somewhere as they were going to be pts.

Unfortunately without dna evidence, you may never know. I'm now more than slightly confused! :confused She may be a Heinz 57, which is what we used to call a dog of mixed/unknown breeding. Either way, she is a stunner and has the most beautiful face. You must be very pleased with her, she looks a lot of fun. :)

She is so much fun. Next year want to do some agility with her and possibly some sort of gun dog training as she loves picking up and has such a soft mouth. And use her nose :)

Ahh mine is about 6 . She came over from ireland to kent with her mum , gsd and her brothers and sisters . There were 2 black with tiny bit of white and the rest were black and tan. She has huge ears that go up down and all over . We dont know what dad was , she is the feastest dog we have , she runs rings round the collies . I hve heard that you can get a dna test done which we may get curious enough to do one day .
