Hi
A question please for those who have coachbuilt 3.5t horseboxes (side ramps, facing backwards etc) - do you know the length between the back of the cab (i.e. from the horses back end) to the breast bar (the horses chest). Just about to have one built and am a little concerned that the chassis I'm picking up on Saturday is too short a wheelbase and the wheelarches will get in the way. Any measurements or even estimates would be really helpful to put my mind at rest (or not as the case may be)
Many Thanks

The measurement the company I bought mine from (Northern horseboxes) provide is 6 foot 8 inches length in the horse area. My mare wears a 6' 9" rug though and has several inches behind her if she stands up against the breast panel! I don't know how that works, but that is how it is!

I would recommend the breast bar be flush against the wheel arches so they don't encroach into the horse area - horse area should be as big as possible.
My 15.1hh show cob (big lad!) has tons of room and rarely has his bum against the back board unless he decides to remind Mummy he's there with a gentle tap of his hind hoof!
Luckily I have CCTV in mine so I can see he is only messing!
