I am having great success with Boots own brand Derma Care cream. Around £8.00 a large pot.
My cob had lumps at the back of her knees the size of golf balls when I bought her 12 months ago. Clipped, dectomaxed, front lined, lime washed, pig oiled I could go on and on ! eventually the harvest mites are being controlled and all the sores have cleared up with the exception of knees and face of hocks.
The sores on her hocks are almost invisible now and her knees are smooth but still pink. Obviously there is no cure, but this cheap cream applied daily has made a massive difference. It is a bit greasy and sticks to the knee boot straps but wipes off easily.
