I have only ever done dog walking and pet sitting for neighbors and friends in the past and now Id like to do dog walking in my area professionally. I have a few questions for those of you who do this:
Are you insured? If yes who is it with? If no, do you ask the owners to sign a form and what does it say?
What weathers do you not go out in?
How much do you charge and does the price change if you walk two dogs for one owner?
How many dogs do you walk at once?
Do you refuse to take out dogs who are too strong, pull or are aggressive to other dogs?

I would really appreciate it if you could answer any of these questions.
Thanks

I doggi walk 5 at the moment...they are close to my home...5 mins in the car...and I get OH to give me a hand or if I have to go alone I take first then return them and collect the other 3 as they are mostly big breads
2x boxers
1x doberman
1x shar-pei
1x colli
I never actually advertised...they all aproached me

I have them 2-3 hours and charge £9 per dog, I have full liability insurance, and don't give discount for 2 in same family. www.cliverton.co.uk
They are really good for cover and price.....the only thing you need owners to sign for is if they want or you want to let their dogs off lead.

I will take aggressive dogs or dogs that pull, because I deal with this type of thing all the time anyway...but they don't pull for long

I don't stand for that.
The ones I walk are fine with each other...Im pretty firm though...which they respond well too, maybe look at some destinations where it's quiet and you won't bump into to many other dogs if you fear u may be pulled off your feet

but generally they should get used to each other pretty quick, my lot did.

I you are worried about restraining ask the owners to provide halti's or anything that will aid you to control a few at a time.

You need to make sure what you take on is managable...you will only be insured for so many per walk anyway....so if you get alot of custom...split it into morning an afternoon....so u can manage if you have no help.
I also have a doggi van with cages to seperate the dogs whilst travelling...I could not cope without it...it has been fab for this type of work

I also go out in all weathers
