I am doing the hackamore this week as His Lordship has a slightly tender mouth after our little hunting adventure! I dont mind them but had a bad experience years ago with one. Seriuosly though I do find that if he has been a bit stiff or one sided the hackamore sessions seem to cure it!

OMG though, seeing your horse galloping down a main road without you is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.....very hairy!

Been there done that. It 5 cars and 9 people to catch the bugger. Worst bit was ringing the OH to tell him to open the gates in case he made it homealone!

thing is he was so scared! he was galloping around the park and screaming blue murder....and I was waving my arms screaming 'get out of the bloody way, he's blind in one eye and can't see'

Yeah the random people getting in the way. Stick with him he will be worth it.

thanks hun, I do think he's got a lot of potential, I'm just worried that I'm not the rider to bring it out of him. Hard when you love a horse so much!
