......and feeling like they are banging their heads against a brick wall........after two years, Zoomy finally accepted a contact last night!!

It was only for a few minutes at the end of the session, but she stretched down into my hands and was soft round and (very briefly) amazing. I am soooooooo pleased!!!

I have spent the last two years schooling with washing line reins as she used to chuck her head up, hollow and run as soon as you touched her mouth. Months of walk - halt - walk - trot - walk -trot - walk - halt

have paid off.

Sorry - self indulgent but sooooooo pleased with the donkey-eared pony

) You will get there our ex polo mare took a while but learn to except contact and could work lovely:)
 
well done, I have no experience with polo ponies but my old share horse was very similar (contact = run run run!). Just as I decided to stop helping with her and get my own, she decided that having a contact wasn't that bad and that *gulp* going into an outline wouldn't kill her!
Very very satisfying, congrats!
