... at less than the recommended daily amount do you top up with additional vitamins & minerals?

I love WE but I don't feed the recommended 3kg a day so it gets quite expensive when fed alongside a balancer so I wondered what everyone else does.
 
IF you're not going to feed at the recommended rate, it is false economy regardless of how much you love it. You'd be better off getting a plain base like a chop or even Fast Fibre and adding a powder balancer, or finding a feed you are prepared to feed at the dose its designed to be. In the grand scheme of things, WE isn't as much in terms of money as some other feeds that offer the same 'benefits'.
 
I do feed the full amount in winter but in the summer I don't need to so I use blue chip lami light alongside reduced measures of WE. I keep the WE during summer as one of mine won't eat any chaff/fast fibre/speedi beet. She will eat TopSpec fibre plus cubes but as I don't find this much cheaper than feeding the WE I would prefer to feed the WE with a cheaper vit/min than the blue chip.

So.....what does every one else feed alongside reduce amounts of WE?!!!
 
I've got one as well who is super picky who I've got on WE again. I feed a little extra copper, zinc & magnesium as I know my grazing is deficient and he doesn't get the full 3kg a day.
