What time do you have to get up?
I have to get up at 6.30 to ride for 7. My mare is not happy when I turn up with saddle in hand!

B4 I moved to my new yard, I used to go up the yard b4 work. Would prob get up about 6am, and be home by 7.30am, to get to work for 9ish!
I only ever ride in the morning b4 work in the summer when its gonna be too hot to ride later, so I wold get up about 5am.
But I ride after work now, and pay some one to turn out!!

If im not riding (which i dont do in the mornings unless its mega hot like in the summer) then im at the yard by 6am. When i ride before work in the summer i get up at 430am and am at the yard by 445am.

I get up at 5.30am and get to my horse at 6am...sometimes he is still snoring away in his field stable! How mean am I?!

i don't ride before work, and am at the yard at about half 5! P_G, I couldn't do that, i'd have to be in bed at about 7pm haha!

Well, I don't currently work (student study leave!) but in order to fit all the horses in my alarm is set for 6am and I am normally riding out the drive by 6.20am and back by 8.15am.

I'm up at 5.15 if they're in for the day so I can muck both out and put them in the indoor school for half an hour, if they're out and I'm just turning out and putting the beds up I get up at 5.35 have to be home for 7am, this week they were in because of the wet weather on Monday and Tuesday oh the joy

and I was feeling sorry for myself because I have to get up at 6.30am!
Sounds like I get a lie in!
you lot sure are dedicated, I couldn't do it!

If i am riding in the mornings, like i do in the winter and when it is to hot in the summer, get there for 6.30am latest, if just mucking out then arrive at 7.10am after he has eaten his breakfast. Only takes 15 minutes to muck out, change rugs, boot up and leave his lunch ready. I do all hay and feeds in the evening. Yard is only 5 minutes from home and work is only 2 minutes from home, so ideal!

I don't work but I am at college and if I'm just mucking out my alarm goes off at 7:02am and I'm at the yard by 7:30, muck out 2 and take Olympic for his walk nd I aim to be back in my room for around 8:45 and I leave for lectres at about 9:20.
If I'm riding I'll set my alarm for about 6ish but depending on what I'm doing (schooling/lunging/hacking) I won't always exercise both of them in the morning.

I cant ride in the mornings because we are not allowed on the yard before 7.30, which i think is a terrible rule. I have another horse at home and when she is in at night I get there at about 6am.

I used to do a 9-5 job and would be up the yard for 7.30am do my jobs then at work for 9am then go back after work to ride. That usually meant I was last at the yard in the rain and dark riding in the school, urgh!!!!!

Now I work shifts, which are generally 12 hours on a 4 day on 4 day off scenario. In summer I can go up after work and do jobs, in winter I don't go up on those days and pay someone to look after him. The bonus being that on my four days off I can ride in the daylight! And I get a week off in every four, so for a whole week I can ride in daylight, has made my life soooo much easier!

I usually get up just before six to be at yard just after half six to muck out and turn out. I usually ride after work but sometimes I ride before then I have to be at the yard just before six. I actually get better work out of her in the mornings and she seems to enjoy it more too.

Ditto your first comment. My alarm goes off at 6, roll out of bed at 6.15, get to yard at 6.30. Our yard does crossing times because we have to cross a main road so have to stick to them to avoid peak traffic times, so Oscar goes out 6.45 giving me 15 mins to muck out and get him and his bessy mate ready to turn out.

Work 9 - 5.30, get to the yard for 6 (crossing time) and when hes able to be ridden Ill ride etc and get home by about 8.15 (this time included a little chit chat with the girlies on our yard)

Alarm goes off at 6.15am and I get back in the house, having mucked 2 out and turned out by 7am, this included doing waters, night feeds and hay. Usually ride after work but if I ride b4 work I normally have to be at the yard by 5.45am.

Ours are at home but still up at 6am every morning as we both start work at 8am (OH all the time, me every 3rd week) and it takes us 40 mins to get to work.

If I'm riding before work I'm on the yard at 5am (up at 4:50) and on board by 6.15. Managed it all last winter when we didn't have any lights.

In bed by 10:30 every night though!

If I ride before work it has to be up at 5.30 and on board, ready to go by 6 (and nice friend to turn her out for me after I have gone home to get ready!)

However, soon working back in the big smoke so morning rides will be thing of the past, just hope i can still be home by 6 pm.
