For those who have staffies what do they weigh?

Just wondering...

I posted before how i thought my dog was heavier than average at 21.5kgs but had to take him to the vets a few weeks back when he got savaged by the cat (for those who remember) and he was weighed again. He's gone up to 22.7kgs and believe me there isnt an ounce of fat on him, he's lean and muscly!! Vet also said as he's only 18 months that he will grow some more still

I dont mind that much, just be nice to know if he's going to stop as when he sits on my lap he pretty much breaks my legs.
 
My GSD was 40kg at 22mo so taking into account the size difference, that sounds about right?
I am not sure what age staffies mature but some breeds are not very 'adult' looking or acting until about 2.5-3yo.
 
Mine is also a little one, he is 16kg at approx 18months-2yrs old

He is a rescue so we have no papers or anything and we are seriously wondering if there is a bit of Whippet or something in there as his back end is not barrel shaped but very much like a whippet type!
 
I have 3 staffs (oh and still 1 pup left from a litter of 10!) My youngest bitch 3yrs weighs 18kg, my other bitch is 5yrs and weighs 19kg normally (bit less due to the pups!) and my dog is 7yrs and weighs 25kg! not overweigh just fit lean and mean! Oh and the pup 9wks old weighs 5.5kgs.
 
In Britain, the Breed society have put a height limit on the dog - I suggest you look it up. But some Staffies are much bigger than pedigree breed standard and these chaps are the ones that run the risk of being called a Pit Bull. My Ducko was one such example. He was about the height of a Boxer.
But if you look at old prints, the bigger dog was what the game keeper needed to protect himself out in the woods at night and what the farmer needed to help with rounding up the bull - a Staffie's historic role.

For these working dogs, not only is the potential body weight greater and the legs longer but so is the head, the jaw and the chest. I liken the difference as being that of a horse or a pony.

I miss my companion - he lies out in the garden under a Mimosa tree. From time to time he got a little hyped up but he never did anyone any harm. Hanging on a tree in the garden I always kept a tyre as a worry bead.
