Little Arab doing really really well. Finally started eating properly again(was leaving all her feed etc), taking Prascend easily now and so full of life it's unreal. Went for a ride today, she tossed her head around and squealed with excitement whilst cantering. Also found a talent of cantering around the field and bucking!
Keeping an eye on her for showing any lammy signs.
Progress so far.
When diagnosed

Today, still very energetic after an 1 1/2 hour ride!

this is the best she has ever gone into winter looking!

great to hear she is doing so well. my mare was diagnosed beginning of august this year and is also on prascend and doing well so far. she is a warmblood cross and has very similar colouring to yours.

the first sign was not shedding her coat, and the coat going lighter as you can see from pic, also hollows above eyes had filled and she just didnt seem to be quite as usual, in hindsight i think she was a little grumpy.she also is an occasional cribbiter/windsucker but suddenly was cribbing even while in the field which was very unusual. she was also very hungry all of the time which is unusual as she is normally quite picky and she put on quite a bit of weight very quickly. it all seems to be going ok so far, her level was 171, then went down to 98 and she is one 1 1/2 prascend to try to get it to normal(47).what were your levels and what are they now?

Ahhh, mine went lighter in colour aswell. Her levels were 110 I think but she hasn't been retested yet so we are presuming they are pretty much normal since she is doing well. Shes only on one tablet a day. Hasn't even needed to be clipped yet!

She had slight fluffy coat, filling above eyes and laminitis last November but she's only in the early stages of the disease. She is on the older side of 22....God that's scary. And thank you! She is very vain haha. What about your girly?

mine is 20 and im very lucky(so far) shes not had laminitis...and im keeping my fingers crossed......she is ridden 6 days a week, just hacking and is now in at night and has started to lose a bit of weight which is good as she had ballooned to bigger than she had ever been..

She should be fine now youve got it under control! :).
Mines still in full work(jumping, schooling, hacking etc) . My pony can't gain weight even if you throw food at her haha, was that a symptom of her cushings? How heigh is she?

yes apparantly cushings can make some of them want eat all of the time....shes 15.2 and ive had her for nearly 10 years. her dad was a 16h warmblood and mum was a 14.2 working hunter pony of unknown breed but looked like she may have had a little bit of arab. she is a sweetie to deal with most of the time but when she gets uptight she can be a little unmanageable, she has been known to passage all the way down the road with her tail up over her back while high blowing and then putting in a couple of flybucks, that keeps me awake!!!!!!! it can be a bit scary sometimes especially as i am not a youngster anymore so not as athletic as i used to be...but i would be lost without her...
