Of the horse variety that is!!! I have to give a huuuuuge thumbs up and recommendation to anyone for the new Fibre beet from the Speedibeet people!!!

Was at my wits end at beginning of the year as poor old chap seriously struggling to eat hay

, and has always hated chop feeds. I spotted an ad for Fibrebeet and decided it was worth a bash...Blimey - have never seen him move so fast after a bucket - now shouts for his bucket of 'mush' at night (it looks a bit like mud pie...

) and the bucket is shiny clean in no time at all.... I now have a well rounded extremely happy pone. Still a grumpy old git though........

Just out of interest, can it be feed to laminitics? My friend has a very elderly pony not eating well at the minute and I wonder if this would help.

Yes - this was the other thing which attracted me to trying it, as he has mild cushings symptoms so always the risk he may become prone to lami. I have found that I have actually had to add a bit of Safe and Sound to slow him down a bit. I honestly was amazed at his reaction to fibrebeet, the first night I went to put the tub of it in his stable whilst he was still eating tea - the smell (which I have to be honest also smells a bit like mud pie!!

) was enough to move him sharpish from his tea and stuff his head in the tub of fibrebeet!!!

yup - Fibrebeet is fab!

all my lot are on it to keep weight on and they are all fatties even though they have been living out - and 2 are Tb's...

However my friend has been giving it to her 21 year old anglo arab mare who struggles to keep weight on in summer and she is doing brilliantly, not a rib in sight....

brilliant stuff....
