For which colour jacket do you wear a shirt and tie or stock?

I have got a pewter coloured jacket for low level dressage, and have got myself confused as to whether I would wear a normal shirt and tie under it, or if that is for tweed jackets and I actually need a stock and stock shirt?

Apologies for being somewhat dim, but I just cannot remember!

Any recommendations for where I can get what I need too would be appreciated!

Thanks :)

It is usually a stock but I don't think they will mark you down for wearing a tie.

However you could get away with a bib and stock as a cheaper option.

Shirt should tone in with your riding coat, as should your tie.

Hunters - Hacking Jacket, Navy for women permissable but not generally worn. A neat tie, tied well up into the collar and held in place with a tie pin.
When appearing in a final performance at RIHS or HOYS Ladies wear a black Johnnie Walker coat or navy blue or black coat and a stock.

Hacks
Cut-away riding coat, with waistcoat or navy blue riding jacket. A shirt & Tie

Cobs - same as for Hunters

Riding Horse
Navy Blue coat, or hacking jacket - Shirt & Tie.

TBH I don't like stocks as they often make people look stocky and thick through the neck - and the elegance lost.
