Hi everyone, i am a young farmer currently studying business at gcse level. I have been tasked with creating a business plan for a business we would like to create and equestrian forage and bedding is a business i would like to run after i leave school, or a number of years after. It would be great if you could give a couple of minutes to complete this brief survey so that i can use the information to create my final piece of work.
Many Thanks!

Done. I filled it in as my home yard but i also have one on livery who has the shavings/haylage provided so i technically don't take anything to do with the ordering.

Done but mine is on half & half hay and haylage (more haylage at the moment for extra weight in winter, and he eats it more slowly so it lasts longer).

Also bedding; I deep litter with pellets on the bottom and shavings on top but its more shavings than pellets.

Done but my ordering has changed dramatically this year, down from 8 or so to 2, so using standard bales of hay whereas previously I used big bales of haylage delivered each month along with straw bedding, now using probed, having one load of each last all winter will be a novelty for me.

Done, but my horse bedding comes in bags not bales (straw pellets) and I get a mix of conventional and round bales of hay (the round bales are shared between the horses and my small herd of cows). I answered conventional bales for both and put just the number of conventional bales for the hay.

I use wood pellets for bedding and after the question on bedding I gave up as the subsequent answers were not applicable. In addition I don’t know the difference between some of the bale types you mentioned for hay. We seem to have ones that don’t fit your descriptions.
