I am bagging up my samples for the mineral analysis but it's not clear in the gumph how much I need to enclose. Worryingly, the blurb sheet on Taking a Good Sample says, "Remember, the 300-400 gram sample that you submit......" Ummm.... I can't squeeze more than 54 grams of dry hay into the small baggie they've sent me to return the sample in. Is this enough? I've tried calling to check, but there mobile number is going straight to voicemail and I want to get the samples into the post ASAP so they arrive there by tomorrow morning.
At present I am also drying the fresh grass collection in the oven. How much dry-weight wise will I need to send for the mineral analysis?
I'm also having the nutritional analysis done and the blurb says they require 200 grams each of the hay and fresh grass (dried) for that particular test.
