looking after a horse before and after work but I am thoroughly enjoying it, I am looking after my neighbours 25yr old mare all week and she has been a pleasure to do aswel.
She is a tb bay mare, has come into season during the week and OMG she's grouchy lol but loveable still
It has made me realise one thing though me looking after her, that I still want a horse but maybe look at part livery ha ha I was a little bit late getting up this am for work, I had to leg it to the garage at end of my street get car out, and whizz to the yard which thankfully is only about 5mins round corner, give her her brekkie put the fly spray on, check water, look her over and off to work I go.
I have also come to realise that I want a horse that can live out in summer months, as I have never been able to have one like this, Merly's was laminitic so yeah couldn't stay out all the time, so this week has been a great experience to get me thinking about what I really want.
It has been almost 2 years since I had to do a horse full time with a full time job so I am shattered now ha ha still looking forward to spending some more time with her tomorrow, give her a good fussing over etc.... (girly pampering session)
Pointless post for you regulars but I've really really enjoyed myself having Missy to do.
