As I have had Pickle nearly 3 years now I was thinking about how much I have learned in that time & who I have learned it from. I realised just how much I have learned & how much reassurance I have got by coming on this forum.
The most useful things I have learned are (in random order)
1) Sunflower oil for weight gain & shiny coats
2) Soak the oil into speedibeet to avoid greasy noses
3) Old popsocks to keep feathers out of the way for the farrier
4) Old tights to keep tails clean travelling (Pickle poos for England in the trailer!)
5) Plait the bottom of a long tail in winter to keep out of the mud
6) Economy baby wipes clean so many things
7) Whatever the problem someone out there will know something about it & whatever stupid thing you have done someone else will have too!
What other tips have people picked up along the way?
