Cant express how urgent these pups need a foster mum

Friends bitch has just died after giving birth to 11 pups
they urgently need a bitch
they are in yorkshire

the pups are in yorkshire but will travel anywhere in the country to collect a foster mum
 
I suspect that you're going to struggle to find a bitch which is suitable and which has lost her own pups. Mostly it happens when a bitch fails to make milk, and such a dog obviously wouldn't be of any use. What breed of dog are they? Tiny breeds need equally tiny teats from which to feed and it matters.

I once reared a litter of greyhound pups on a bottle. It wasn't quite the nightmare that it sounds, except that all pups were brindle so it needed two large cardboard boxes for the transfers after individual feeding!

I have 3 un-opened sachets of Royal Canin puppy milk powder here. PM me an address and I'll send them by guaranteed delivery tomorrow morning. Feeding the 'right' feeds can be mind-numingly expensive. I used Lamlac which is designed for lambs (obviously!) and it was equally as good. The greyhound pups raced at 90lbs, when they'd grown, they were monsters because we over-did them!

ps, and thinking further, the chances of finding a suitable bitch are next door to one, from nil. Once you establish a routine, bottle feeding is relatively simple. I'd guess that's the route which you will take. One tip though, DO NOT change feed brands or types, and another, steer clear of cows milk, or at least, if you must use it, water it down 50/50. It's just too rich.
 
You'd be surprised Alec how many bitches and pups are matched up on that fb page Alec. In fact, unless its a coincidence there is a post about 11 pups (greyhounds) in Yorkshire and they would appear to have found a foster bitch. :)
 
Yes, it's a litter of Greyhounds, and you're all stars for replying, I think a foster mum has been found, so fingers crossed it all works out.
