Phew! After a few weeks of will-they-won't-they I signed the contract with my new sharer last night. I need someone to help out with the bills and keeping my mare in work while I am on mat leave so this is a massive worry off my shoulders. They know my mare really well as she used to ride her when she was a lesson horse, and I taught her so I know and trust her riding ability. My only worry is that she always had a a really good bond with my mare and now I'm worried that Missy will start to prefer her to me....:o
Pointless post but just realy happy!

That's good news. You're lucky it's someone you know.

Don't worry about her preferring the new lady than you, just sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Once your baby is here you might be able to find some time to go and ride your horse yourself and your bond will soon be rekindled.

Hope all goes well for you.

Thanks for the good wishes - it is such a relief to know she will stay in work and be happy when I am schelpping about in PJ's with a baby for a few months...I'm also excited about having someone to discuss all the minutiae of her exercise/diet/grooming regime wihtout boring them silly :D

Ah that is great news. I felt the same when my friend started putting my horse out for a while. You just have to remember that your horse will be happy being in work but mostly that everything is for a season and it won't be long before your baby is big enough that you get your life and your horse back a bit. It goes so quickly.
