I would really like to join the Four Shires on one of the introductory days that they are advertising on the website. Can anyone tell me a bit more about them, My horse and I have never hunted before so I do not know what to expect.

I would love to know how fast they go, and how long the hunt usually lasts for. I will be going in the non jumping section.

Any advise would be greatfully recieved. Thank You.

Haven't been out with them for a few years but always had a ball when I did.
When I went it was usually 2 runs of 45 mins to an hour each, with a break in between.
Took 3 horses that hadn't been out hunting ( oldest daughter and I on TB's youngest daughter on her pony) on a 'ride' with them and didn't have a problem.
The best day of all was the last meet of the season, was lent a fantastic pony to ride and went out over runs and runs of stone walls, will never forget it, one of the best days out ever!

I've only been out with them on foot but they were friendly. However this year I have a horse and would love to go out on an introductory day. Just need to pluck up the courage to have a bash at towing, or hope my friend buys the 4x4 she is looking at this week so she can drive!
