Fourtrack clutch?

Has anyone had a new clutch in a Fourtrack? I took my trailer out today and had to turn round and go straight home as the clutch was slipping - OH says it might need a new one and I was wondering roughly how much it would be?

Do you know anybody who could do it for you, average price for a Japanese Clutch is £200 - £300 I'm afraid, you might be best ringing around a few clutch specialists they will be far cheaper and faster than a bog standard garage. Have you checked the gearbox fluid? (I am ever the optimist!)

We have! Think it worked out about £250, but was worth it. Try www.milneroffroad.com for your parts. I did and they are excellent.

Try going on the Daihatsu Drivers Club Forum, yes., I know its sad!, but you could get good advise on there. Last time I was on there was a very little used Fourtrak for sale,sounded great, but I've already got one!

Hi, I had a new clutch in my 2.8 TDX fourtrak about 3 1/2 years ago, it was done at a main dealer and cost just over £500 after bit of haggling with them!!! My local independent garage wanted £450 to do it so I decided to go with the main dealer for peace of mind.
