Hi all just got a new hunting crop for my wife's birthday am a good husband and remembered this year ... Problem is I wish to have a fox hunting saying engraved on the collar any ideas please?!
There's not a lot of room on the collar for any engraving, so you're only going to have a short phrase, really. Not sure what you want - I mean, something like "Tally Ho!" or "Hold Hard!" is a bit cliched and I think a bit tacky.
If I were to be given a nice present like that, I think I would prefer my name and the date? Make it personal =D
I agree with spacefaer. Generally the owners initials, possibly the date and maybe their home (if they're suitably grand!). If you wished to add further personalised details, and have one pack which you hunt with, perhaps the pack's name; The Pytchley or The Heythrop, something like that.
