Hi

Does anyone have a Frank Bains Bridle in the Nut colour ? If so any chance you could post some pics. I'm trying to find a bridle to match a saddle I've had made.

Thanks

Austrailian (Nut) varies from batch to batch, tannery to tannery, all the browns do, even if someone did post a photo & it looked the same as your saddle, another bridle by the same maker may not.You have to allow colour variations for wear and tear, cleaning etc as well.I bought in a couple of pairs of bridle butts (Austrailan Nut and Havanna) to make up some saddlery a while ago, the next lot from same suppliers although the same colours, were a shade darker and didn't match the first lot, It happens a lot in the trade as leather is a natural product and suffers from a lot of variations in texture, strength and substance and that is why we have to make a complete bridle out of one pair of butts so we know all the componants will match in colour. If I were you I would go to the saddlers and have a good look round at what they have there to find a colour match to suit you or you may be very disappointed, Oz
