Watch CH4 this afternooon to see the racecourse gallop Frankel just did.

He was barely out of a canter, and just threw off his workmates. I don't think I've seen anything like it before.

So glad he's staying in training, magnificent horse. :D

Seen the gallop... leaves the others behind in a matter of 4 strides!! Lovely horse, hope he can dominate this season, and retire fit and sound for, no doubt a massive career ahead of him at stud!

Thanks very much for the link Caledonia - breathtaking!!

An absolute stunner as well. What a horse to have on your hands :) The power in that stride!!

He's incredible, isn't he?! He could be anything or do any job, he's elastic and athletic and powerful and graceful.... I don't think I've ever seen such a perfect racehorse .....

The Guineas was a bit of a letdown after Frankel! :p

Have to admit altho flat racing normally leaves me a bit cold, I saw this on Ch4 racing and was open mouthed. His body barely moved and his legs were like wheels he was so smooth even at that speed and acceleration. Looked even better than last year. I certainly wouldnt be taking him on in the betting. What a machine....

It's unfortunate for other horses around at the present time as he makes them look a little bit ..... ordinary !

This is what racing is all about though - every now and then a true superstar comes around :)

Incredible horse - doubt we will ever see another one like him in our lifetime.
Thanks for the link :)

They said that about Inglis Dreaver and who came along the very next year? Big Bucks ;)

Ingles Drever endeared himself to people for being a tough battler and a good horse rather than being a wonder horse. I have not heard of people talking of him as the best they'd seen, more in admiration of his grit and determination.

Impressive as Camelot was in the 2000 Guineas, I should think the best part of the day for many spectators at Newmarket today was seeing Frankel.:D

Black Caviar is a sprinter, Frankel is a miler who might go further.

They reckon Black Caviar will out strip Frankel in a mile and that is the only reason they are coming over for Royal Ascot - not the £1million bonus added to the race, not even for the glory of winning at Royal Ascot - but to claim Frankel scalp. And I can see their point.

They have a wonderful filly, touted as the best in the world. We have a fantastic colt, again touted as the best ever seen. Bring them both together see who truly stands supreme.

Frankel will have the home team advantage and for not having to have travelled half the world to get there. I think alot will depend on how well BC travels and addapts to this country.

What a horse!! amazing!
excited about him and black caviar racing!. Have to say after watchin prog about bc on racing uk I have a soft spot for her. Although may the best horse win! :)

was just amazing to watch, from the beginning when they were heading down the course to when they turned. He looked so powerful and special, brought a tear to my eye and a tingle down my spine.

But Frankel is only entered in the Queen Anne at Ascot (over a mile) and Black Caviar is only entered in the King's Stand (five furlongs) and the Diamond Jubilee (over six furlongs), so the clash isn't going to happen. Not at Ascot, anyway.

It's planned for goodwood. And for all those that say that whipping is the only way to get racehorses motivated and racing in general is purely for human satisfaction - watch the video, this is a horse that doesn't need a whip to make it run, he runs for the pure joy of running!!!

Goodwood with it's undulations will be different to anything she has encountered before over a trip further than she has tackled before. A bold call to be confident that she will beat him or even that they will both be there on the day.
