Sorry to everyone who is getting bored of Freddie, we are just so proud, so more photos.. sowwy!

So anyway Freddie and OH have been wistfully looking out the drive to the big wide world, so today they decided to have their first ever potter to the big wide world:eek:
I insisted on wearing my hi viz tabbard and walking behind so no cars came flying up from behind (they huffed at me) and I took the camera:D

He was very good, I even threw a couple stones into the woods to desensitise him to sounds, he only did tiny jumps, as he was so good thought I would introduce him to having a rug on his back, before he had a nice bowl of food for being so good!

Looks like it went uneventfully {which is what you want} i just love showing my youngsters the outside world, your roads look very narrow, is there any places for you to tuck him in if any thing scarey comes.

He's lovely, and didn't seem bothered by anything!! You must be really pleased with him, he looks like he's going to make a great horse to go out and about on!

All the roads are like that and unfortunately overgrown at the moment, we do have a couple passing places, but what we planned to do was to walk him back past the car etc... it's very very quiet roads there and miles of woodland walks, visibility isn't too bad, and I walked behind so nothing came flying up behind, we have been beeping the stables traffic's horns at him all the time and lots of revving :-)..... we do have some wider roads we can go on with more traffic, but we want to build up to that X

Freddie looks like he had a great time and your OH looks really happy as well, you are giving him such a lovely education. He is going to be great :)

Ah, this brings back really happy memories - when hubs and I were baby walking Shy, although unfortunately not in anywhere as beautiful as that !

I am sure we have such a close bond out riding because we did so much baby walking together, and he knew his "walk" "trot" "stand" and "dog coming through" and "get off my bloody foot" before we ever got to the mounted stage, and he was used to all the traffic and stuff.

I WANT FREDDIE. NOW.. :D

This is Shy trying to eat my L plate after a session standing beside the main road (ah to be in Devon, lol). Three years ago *gasp*.. god sorry how bad his feet look !! This must have been the first few days after he arrived, bless him.

Ohhhh just soooo cute!! We had a Freddie you are stood on my foot moment today, hehe
Nothing wrong with busy roads, it makes for well adjusted horses :-) Am Loving Shys hi viz! X

that exercise sheet barely covers his ass now, and thank god I seem to have lost about 2 stone - must be having a baby horse that does it !!
