Hi all,

Thought this may be of interest to some of you, its through the University of Edinburgh Online. This isn't advertising, I had it emailed to me by a friend and thought I would share :D

Just finished an online PGcert with them, one of our modules was on Equine Nutrition and I can fully recommend it as interesting and worthwhile.
Just sad I have lack of funds to continue my studies. :(

signed up!

karran - out of interest - what did you study?

Im looking for an online masters and almost did one with a uiversity in Bulgaria but think the uk would be better!

Its just over 3k a year, think it works out as 10k over all.

I think as long as you have a decent degree and a decent amount of experience with horses they'll take you on anyway.
The first module is all about getting you up to scratch with biological stats and getting back into the swing of essay writing anyway.

I'm taking a break from it this year and hoping to go back to it next (stupid unemployment!)
TBH though I'm still a little unsure of where it'd lead too, I was the only "hobby" rider doing it, the rest all seemed to own studs and compete at a decent standard so I could see it being useful for them but I'm just a happy hacker really, and just thought it looked interesting!

yeah - thats my issue - i find the science part interesting - but ive no interest whatsoever in riding/competing side of it (Except with my own ponies)

id love to do some equine lecturing though - i think thats what idf used it for! :)

thanks btw - may enrol next year... that or equine business management :)

The Equine Science looks very interesting, may embark on that thanks :D
