I am looking for a trainer to come to me to ride my horse and train her up where I can work with her sometimes but predominately gain some knowledge from someone who is far more experienced. This has been a long process of rehab and now having to right the wrongs and retrain her. Does this kind of thing exist. Struggling to find someone.
I’m in Essex. Does anyone know of something/someone?
 
Edit : wanted to say training livery isn’t really an option when I already pay a mortgage to keep her etc and I did this before and they broke her psychologically, she doesn’t do well with moving as she’s an import.
 
Yes, people do exist. It is the sort of thing I would do, when I was still teaching. It was still under the banner of teaching as I would firstly teach the horse, then the rider on the horse.

I didn't advertise much TBH, as I mostly got business by word of mouth. Why not ask for recommendations on your local FB group? Then check out each person very carefully, as I am sure they will also be checking you to make sure you could make an effective team to help the horse.

Check they have insurance and well as happy clients. I was qualified, but have used people to help me who are not.
 
When I was in Essex I used Nancy Graylen and Ben Martin both will back and train horses and have done top level showing, Nancy also judges at County level I don't have any contact numbers though but I'm sure you could find them on line.

Thankyou, I’m just looking for someone to help train her! I have been through a lot with her and we are ready for the next step to get back under saddle but she is so inexperienced and sadly she’s had a poor life before I brought her over from Spain so it’s a case of untangling it all and starting again.

Where are you in Essex?
 
Ben Martin is nearest I think he is still in Ongar Not sure where Nancy is now she was near Epping.

My friend lives in Maldon we used to keep our horses at the same yard years ago I do often visit her it is a nice bit of Essex.

It’s a lovely place we are out goldhanger way right by the sea. It’s beautiful!
