My three live out in fields that are wooden posts and elec fenced.
Q1. During the day, elderly TB shares paddock with fat native. TB needs hay, Native does not, but gets it anyway as am feeding TB. Is there anyway to feed him without fattie getting too much? Thinking haybar, that she couldn;t reach the bottom of, but he could? But would have to stand in a field.
Q2. Elderly TB has his feed in his own small paddock and stays in there overnight. Idiot dog (not mine) chases him off his feed and eats it. Often I try to wait til the dog has gone before feeding but I can't always. Horse won't go to shelter to eat feed (i've tried and tried) he eats it in the same place and if youmove it he won;t go to it. Nowhere to hook on a hookable manger. Is there anything free standing that I coule use so the dog can;t reach?
Stupid questions I know........
