++This is not my advert and I dont know the person who is getting rid of this horse ++

I have just seen this on facebook...

Free To Good Home!

Dancing Daisy. 23yo Scottish Sports horse. Around 16hh. Sweet natured horse who is the perfect companion. Never bites, kicks, rears etc. Good to catch and box. Has been ridden recently and never batted an eye. Located outside St Combs. For more information give me a phone on 07870739904 or just pm me :)

I try not to be judgemental but I find it heart breaking that this horse has probably given her best years to someone and this is how they end up...one way ticket to turners.

Hi there everyone.

I would like to say that as the current owner of Dancing Daisy that I'm not a bad person and it is because I truly care for my horse that I'm giving her away. She however has not given me her "best years" of her life I have only been blessed with her for a few short months but as I'm moving and switching jobs it would be unfair to keep her and not be able to give her the attention she deserves. So for anyone who truly cares she has now found a lovely new family who will be able to spoil her as much as I would like to.

And to you specifically victoria1980x I would appreciate it if you from now on would think about the actual situations that some people are forced into and be less how did you put it "judgemental"? It's going to be hard enough giving her away without rude people like you making assumptions because as difficult as this may be to read you clearly don't know everything do you ?

I hope that she IS one of the lucky ones who HAS found a 'lovely home'. However, many older horses given away free to good homes are not given the spoilt last years they deserve...

If you dont want rude and judgemental people like me to comment on you giving your horse away then dont post your advert on facebook to every tom dick and harry. Facebook is a public forum and I am entitled to comment as I see fit. I am off to make some make some more assumptions...

I hate you type of people, if the animal doesn't fit around your lifestyle you get rid, who cares where they end up as long as you can move on with your life without the hassle eh?

You might think I'm jumping to conclusions but I see these types of posts all the time on the internet, it's disgusting.

You really can't win on here can you?

If someone puts a thread on saying that they are going to have their old horse PTS because they have had a change in their circumstances they get jumped on

If someone puts a thread on asking for a companion home for their horse or offers free to good home, half the replies will be telling them to PTS instead of finding it a home.

Rebecca Laidlaw has said that she has found it a nice home. Who are we to judge whether this is right or not. The horse may well have found a lovely home.

Get over yourself ,people are perfectly entitled to comment when the the thought of an elderly horse facing an certain future makes them feel sick.

Jeezo people cant make up their minds can they. Good on the owner for finding a lovely companion home for the horse. Whats the difference for a free to good home companion home and a horse going to the bloodbank?

There are good homes for free to good home horses, I know of several one included a 5 yr old who was free to good home due to a few issues and has come good.

If the" lovely companion home " was found via face book it's just chance that it lovely the poor old mare could end up anywhere and although I personally would not send a horse to the blood bank they will at least be handled with respect and PTS with dignity not pushed around from pillar to post one thing for sure someone somewhere let this mare down.
