Noticed a nice looking Arabian mare free to good home in this weeks magazine adverts. No connection with me whatsoever . Just thought I'd highlight in case any arab lovers out there are looking.

Mmmm agree faracat @unkind as whilst i would not choose arab they are a beautiful animal. mmmmmm there again having been a bigger hunter tyoe for 30 years i now have the most beautiful sec D and i totally love the breed now lol

I have no issue with people not liking them aesthetically, but to say 'yuck' is rude.

Sorry, rant over. I hope that the mare finds a lovely home.

ETA. She looks sweet - a bit lean.

It's a Arab, yuck :) unless it hasn't got a horrid shaped nose than it will be fine.

What an unpleasant thing to say; and how strange not to see and appreciate the beauty of the Arab horse. Whilst not to everyones taste as a riding horse, its contribution to many breeds is valued?

Some head shapes can be a little extreme, but I've seen allot worse noses on quite a number of people :)

I always wanted a beautiful black Arab stallion when I was a kid (I'm sure there was a book about one that was shipwrecked or something?) needless to say I have a bay tb and a grey sports horse lol! I love Arabs!

Oh dear, she's the same age as my Arabs, and not very far away. I can't get another though.

I always find it really wierd when people have a dislike for a particular breed of horse. But I suppose they aren't really horse lovers, only lovers of specific types of horse. I love them all, big, little, chunky, slender, and of course the long-ears as well. :-))

I was given a brilliant free pony by the way, she's an absolute gem and always has been from the day I got her.

Hope she gets a decent home. Wonder why it does not mention riding/what the story is. Can't go wrong with Arabs, turn their hoof to anything :)

Oh no, chestnut Arab mare, my favourite kind! Already have one though who I can't ride at the min so think OH would have a fit if I picked up another, particularly with a baby in the way in the next couple of months!
