Just wondered if anyone has any experience / uses these? I like the idea of them but at £200 a pair they seem a bit expensive to buy just for a try.

Have a few youngsters to back and the safety / quick release aspect looks appealing as I'm not getting any younger! Has anyone put them into practice?!

I use the Sprenger system stirrups at then moment which I love but need a new pair whatever for a new saddle so any advice or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I saw and rode in these stirrups for the first time recently when I went to try a horses at a jumping yard. Had no idea how much they cost.

I am a Sprenger owner myself but I was very glad to see these. First glad of the safety aspect - that there was a one sided stirrup stronger than the Peacock style and therefore capable of carrying an adult rider over 9 stone.

Then there is the size issue. I need to own 2 pairs of Sprenger and one worries about riding with stirrups too small for one's boots. Is there really only one size in these? And is that designed only for a smart jumping boot, or will it go over the heavier boots we use to hack in winter?

I am a very elementary rider so cant give an expert report on what they are like to ride in. I didnt canter nor jump. They felt totally fine. I dont much like riding in bent leg or Peacock stirrups but these felt normal.

But I was really glad to see these stirrups for their design and adult image. An item of elite equipment which might encourage people to use safety stirrups.
