So I have been booked to go to Burghley for the full 4 days since early in the year - and in pure brilliant timing horse style, my 4yo horse injured himself last week and is confined to the box for the next 5-6 weeks.

Due to most of the yard being unavailable there is none available to look after him while I was planning on being away (the Thu to Sun of next week) so I wondered if any of you lovely people had any ideas of freelance grooms/ similar in the area who do this kind of work? If worst comes to worst then i'll have to cancel my holiday which would be a shame so i'm trying to find an alternative!

Thanks in advance!

There is a notice board in Mole Valley in Alnwick that sometimes has adverts on for people looking for work. Other than that not sure. End of summer season/start of autumn hunting means a lot of people are working.

Don't know if she would travel that far but you could try Katie Lee from KSL Equine. She's used to youngsters, including colts, so a 4yo wouldn't bother her.
her website is www.ksl-equine.com and mobile is 07703 768 212
