Freelander or something bigger.......

I'll add that my Mistsubishi shogun is fantastic to drive around and to tow with. Never had a problem parking it. (My OH loves it too and will often take it instead of his brand new Saab 93!) It's a diesel and costs about 18p/mile.

My friend has a LPG Grand Cherokee (51 plate, 140,000 on the clock and bought it for £6000 if that helps). She really likes it but I have to say that it's boot in small compared to my Shoguns. Wouldn't have room for 2 lots of tack and stuff to go to a show.
 
I have just bought a Mitsubishi Shogun and I love it. It's all leather inside, really comfy and the engine is great - it's not for fast and nippy though and I wouldn't want to park in a small space. But after towing with a BMW 320d I thought I was in heaven when I attached the trailer to it for the first time!!!
 
we 've had discos for 7 years and never a problem...mind you i would never buy brand new!!
The last one we bought off ebay...its been a cracking car and a bargain too!! Just goes to show that cars are like people...bloody temperamental
