Hi there, just trying to trace a pony we sold about 15 yrs ago. A sad mistake to sell him, his name was marchemanor rock star although I know where he went 3 homes after us lost all his paperwork and he was sold on without it under the name rocky. He was dapple grey but is probably white now (I would imagine). He has issues with picking up his back feet and would not be shod on them He was a talented showjumper and was sold by us as a showjumping pony. He was then sold back to a friend of mine when outgrown. He was then sold on to another friend of mine for her son but unfortunatley he did not get on with rocky as the pony was very sensitive and the boy was quite rough with him and had many battles trying to teach him to play polo. I tried to buy him back but they would not let me have him and he was sold on as a polo pony. I then lost touch with him. I loved this pony very much and have always wondered what happened to him. please if anyone has any info please let me know. Thankyou

thanks for your reply, how did you do the freezemark link? I rang farmkey a few years ago (I had him freezemarked) and he was still registered in my name, no new owners had registered him. I dont know if this has changed now. The people I sold him to registered him BSJA but I dont know if anyone has done so since. Thanks again

Any photos ?

Unfortunately he'll probably be grey/white now so it could be that his freezemark is not seen or known about by his current owners
(speaking from experience with my lad)

No the age thing is my fault he prob isnt in his 20's , time goes past so fast I am in the habit of adding on a few years to all my horses ages. lol. actually very pleased to hear that he is younger as there is more chance he will still be around. Somebody must have had to redo his passport as I know all his paperwork was 'lost' by the boys mum. He is very well bred and its a shame whoever has him now would be unaware of this. I would love to trace him as he would have a retirement home here with me if it was ever needed. He had lots of confidence issues which with us never posed a problem. We sold him onto a fabulous family who adored him and when they came to sell I suggested him to a friend of mine and he came back under their ownership and was kept with us at livery. (we bought him as a yearling at the cusop stud sale). There was then a stupid minor disagreement between us as they wanted to sell and I offered to buy him back but they wanted a ridiculously inflated price for him. So he was then sold to the boy who used to compete against my daughters and basically couldnt wait to get his hands on one of our ponies. If they had asked I could have told them all of rockys issues and warned them that he would not get on with their son. But they offered the ridiculously high price and he disappeared from our yard without me knowing overnight. Very very sad. I remember breaking down in tears and begging my friend to tell me where he had disappeared to but she was on a 'power trip' at seeing me so upset and just gloated as she told me how much money she had got for him. Unfortunatley the pony paid the price, I just hope things worked out for him in the end.
