Hi,

I need to get my 2 youngsters and my new horse freezemark and was just after some help

A few years ago I had my 3 of my horses at the time done with Farmkey, they were out within a month of contacting them and were fab and really helpful and friendly, although I did have to have them back to re do 2 of them although 1 was a bald mark that hadnt quite gone bald so was expected

Just looking up prices online and Freezemark are slightly cheaper (and as I would like personalised marked its nearly a saving of £10 per horse) not that I mind paying the extra money if the service from freezemark isnt as good as farmkey?

I used Farmkey, I have to say that I found the admin side of things a bit hit and miss and that is still the case now (they keep forgetting to charge me my annual fee - not that I mind :D). But the lady that came out was very good, gentle and George wasn't at all bothered about having it done. His mark is S61D but the 6 didn't come out properly and looked like a o so it looked like it said 'sold' :( but they were v quick to rectify the problem and redo the 6 :)

Like Gorgeous George I've used both Farmkey and Freezemark. No problems with either but do feel that Freezemark are much more organised administratively and have very good customer service. That said the operatives from both organisations were excellent with the horses which is what really matters. The one benefit of Farmkey compared to Freezemark is that I think they have a wider network should heaven forbid a horse get stolen.
