Freezemarking Foalies

Just wondering if there is a minimum age for this. My baby is 6 months old. Don't want to traumatise her tho!

Anyone got any experiences of freezemarking young 'uns??

My friend got her colt done when he was about 8 months. He was very well behaved, a bit pop eyed but was a lot better than my mare, she went ballistic!!

years ago when i had one freeze marked they said then the minimum age was 2 yo but it may have changed now.

about 12 -18 months depending on the growth of the foal as the mark can stretch if done too young.
