Freezemarking - swelling??

i think my 3 boy's all swelled up first. check with the person who did it.
i was told not to put rugs on for the first few days

It normally swells a little but there shouldn't be any heat.

Keep an eye on it and if it hasn't gone down by Monday ring the vet.

Yes - that is normal

There should be no problem with rugging from immediately after the marking.

Its normal, my mares swelled to about an an inch and a half depth. They say you can rug straight after - IF you can get near the damned horse again. I couldn't get near mine in her stable for about a week, and for 6 months she freaked out if you went near her shoulder.

you can see the swelling on my horse ..

Just worried as she's in foal aswell lol...

CrazyMare - I know what you mean, she is now a right stroppy madam this week lol, tries to bite my head of when I get near her. Bless her, dont blame her though - it was horrible...

Is the process painful for the horse? Thinking of having mine done only he has allot of under the skin sarcoid's and lumpy bits so just wondered if anyone has any experience of this?

Was it Kelly/Kerry Russell?

Lady in a fairly new but bashed up grey Land Rover with the skirts missing and no front numberplate because it went down a ditch a few days before
