Hey!

I'm just wondering if anybody has or knows of any horses by french buffet. Im getting a 4 yr old gelding by him whose dam is by puissance. Just wondering if anybody knows what they are like temperament wise and if they are willing to train etc :)

I'm hoping to event him :) Id really appreciate any info on what these horses are like :)

Nice breeding! We met French Buffet about 18 months before he died, very sadly. His offspring seem to be already doing well in eventing over here; I've clocked a few coming through local events and they look to be nice types, and very rideable. It might be the mare line that would give you some pizzazz - I don't know what influence Puissance has as a damsire, but I think that his offspring have a reputation for being opinionated! (But talented)

He was an incredibly talented stallion and done well internationally. I've been finding it hard to find out any info on what his offspring are like. I've high hopes for this boy :)

I have a 6 year old out of FB to a good ISH mare. FB I didn't stand in Ireland for long as was an a old boy by the time he went there, hence not many offspring around. He was used in the KWPN studbook and was a great jumping horse.

Mine is well put together, went from 16.1 as a 5 year old to 16.3 now. Very bold XC, has been a pain in the arse with coloured fences but is finally turning a corner. Very bright and a very kind horse, albeit with a certain SOH which is not always appreciated. However, he really is a horse who would never ever try to hurt you and is genuinely fond of human company.

Ya he was only here for a few yrs before he passed away. So not many of his offspring around. This boy is 15.2hh at present and will def grow a bit more :) Wow your boy is big and sounds fab. what do u do with him? How was he train etc? was he willing?

We have a french buffet mare. had her own idea for the first 3 months and contemplated getting rid but perservered and now shes fabulous. Won her area finals. 5th in national final. placed in young horses at addington and scope. Terrific mare and honest and genuine now with amazing jump.
