What do the French think of us? We horse riders are obsessed with housework.

Why? Well even the property adds advertise equestrian facilities with housework. The French don't understand why a horse owner would be impressed by that.

François Lemaire de Ruffieu is in the UK next week as part of his efforts to get British women away from the housework and on to their horses. In the newly built New Barn Farm indoor school, he will once more be saying "Why are you always talking about housework? We are 'ere to ride our 'orses in the manège, so stop talking about the ménage."

Join François on Facebook at Horse Riders Against Housework www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=106472749414506&ref=mf If you see a house with housework ad pass the link to the estate agent.

Leave the ménage behind and get on your horse instead.

"Menage a trois"............household of three, mmmmmm!
Yes Mrs M, "school" is so much safer - certainly much more safe than a "menage a trois" ;)

Crendon House if the first estate agent to be named and shamed for trying to sell a ménage at Rowood Farm, Chalfont St Giles. It will only cost you £1,750,000 to do your housework outdoors.

I have told them they are the first to be named and shamed. I wonder it they'll change the ad.

Today's property is in Sutton Coldfield: Greenwood in Lower House Lane could be yours for £1,100,000.

For that you get just under 18 acres and offering 'excellant' equestrian facilities including, stabling, paddocks and housework.

This estate agent Paul Carr Estate Agents isn't 'excellent' at spelling in english either it seems. http://www.paulcarrestateagents.co.uk/viewsingleprop.php?pid=X020024

Today's housework accolade goes to Alastair Appleton, who showed a property to a couple on Escape to the Country this week and told them they would be able to watch their daughter doing housework from the bedroom. The BBC have been informed!

Femme de menage is, I think, a housewife,
Thats me, and I ride more than I clean the house, thats true
regards from France!!

PS most sand schools are known as carriere.
Thats another subject!!

I am so disappointed that none of the estate agents have responded to my enquiries. I've been at a clinic with François Lemaire de Ruffieu, so haven't had chance to check on whether his campaign is working yet.

Now who will google find me to pick on today. Well, I am surprised. It chose Savills, they have been selling equestrian prperty for years. I thought they knew! http://www.savills.co.uk/residentialsearch/propertydetail.aspx?pID=226718

Your French is clearly better than mine!!
I do a bit of both I suppose!
When I have ridden the horses and only IF guests are coming

Your money goes much further in Northern Ireland. For £250,000 you can keep your horse on 13 acres and own an eight box livery. You can do the housework outside on sand - don't throw away your summer bucket and spade - and if you are late home from work in the winter, you can do the housework under floodlights.

Just contact http://www.neillestateagents.co.uk/brochure.php?p=NEANEA1027 for details.

I'm sure by now that estate agents are thinking I only complain about their spelling. This week I am going to make a few inquiries instead. I shall say I am interested to know if they have any properties with housework and particularly ones with floodlights as winter is coming on and I don't want to be doing housework after work in the dark! I still haven't had any replies from the last few.

This post got me giggling, menage/manege is a bug bear of mine too.

talkinghorse, do you really email estate agents about spelling mistakes? I have been tempted but have never had the guts to do it.

I once got turned down for a job because I was 'over qualified', however, I fear it was because I just couldn't help telling the owner of the company about all the spelling and gramatical mistakes on their website :D
